Products marketed and certified as “green” nonetheless entail inputs of fossil-fuel energy and virgin ingredients in their life cycle, thus resulting in an unsustainable net loss of finite natural capital. Therefore, we prefer local/regional materials that are salvaged, recycled and/or re-purposed.
