Sited within a 155 acre conservation easement managed by The Nature Conservancy, Littlemore is designed to house two veterinarians who also breed Labrador Retriever service dogs. Therefore, the primary planning goal was to comfortably integrate all facilities required for the health and well-being of canines and humans alike. Beyond practical concerns, the overarching design intention manifests a deep commitment to the preconditions for sustaining human and ecosystem health on the macro-scale: respect for species diversity, habitat quality, nutrient and water cycles, and finite resources.
