Cherokee Road Residence

This project was a renovation of an existing home. The original master suite was divided into a number of small, dark rooms that didn’t work well for the couple and their young daughter relocating to Richmond.  Watershed came in and opened the room up by removing the partition walls, lifting the ceiling to a series of new skylights and using freestanding walnut cabinetry with glazed pocket doors to divide the sleeping, dressing, and bathing spaces within the single open bedroom.  These changes to the second floor are the first phase of a whole house renovation to bring this well built 1960’s Dutch Colonial up to date.
