Better Housing Coalition

In 2006, Watershed was commissioned to develop a series of “green” home prototypes by the Richmond CDC (Community Development Corporation). Affordability, universal design, and occupant health are integral to the requirement that homes are compatible with the predominant architectural character of the neighborhood. Given BHC’s core commitment to sustainable communities and healthy, high performance building, the mandate for all homes is that they be designed to achieve EarthCraft House certification as a standard.
