Yesterday the Virginia Conservation Network (VCN) hosted a very successful Conservation Lobby Day here in Richmond, Virginia. The Lobby Day Agenda (listed in #1 below) gives highlights of the issues covered, and suggests which bills to follow in the four categories of Clean Energy, Clean Water, Land Use & Transportation, and Historic Preservation & Land Conservation.
Please take the time to read it. In only 8 pages, VCN has managed to distill down some of the major issues facing Virginia’s citizens. And in doing so, has offered up an easy way for individuals and groups to make a very real difference for the state of our Commonwealth. This is a fast-paced process during the months of January and February, so expect changes often, but below are the basic links to get you started if you’re interested in becoming more involved during the next two months.
(Note: The actual URLs are provided below in case you’d like to cut and paste this for sending via email to others. Or feel free to share the direct link to this blog page: http://watershedarch.net/blog/2011-virginia-general-assembly-session. Happy Citizen Lobbying!)
